The Gingerman: European
Part of the Ginger group of restaurants including Ginger Fox, Ginger Pig & Ginger Dog, the Gingerman is, in our opinion, the finest of the four. Looking around you can see the delight and ecstasy on the faces of the other diners. It's the kind of place where you want to crane your neck to see what others are eating because you simply don't want to miss out. Service is absolutely impeccable and the chef is at hand to make any recommendations or answer any questions. A small, but perfectly formed restaurant which will leave you feeling that you've had THE meal of your life.

Terre a Terre: Vegetarian
This leading Brighton vegetarian restaurant deserves an award for all of the awards that it's won over the years. Terre a Terre delivers beautifully tasting, quirky food that will leave you full and satisfied. If you're not a vegetarian we would certainly recommend that you still give this Brighton gem a go. It is a little on the pricey side but well worth the treat. If it's good enough for Sir Paul Macartney......

Casa Don Carlos: Spanish
One of our favourite places to visit as often as possible. Casa Don Carlos is popular throughout the day and evening so always book to guarantee a table. A small restaurant but big on taste and big on atmosphere. Excellent quality traditional spanish tapas served by friendly and happy staff that make you smile. A delightful fun place to dine.

The Restaurant at Drakes: European
'The Restaurant' was Brighton's highest scoring restaurant in the good food guide 2011, and it's easy to see why. Located in the rather swish Drakes seafront hotel, this place attracts the Brighton glitterati and visiting celebs. Quite simply this place serves exquisite modern European cuisine with a twist. The evening ambience is calm, dimmed lights, candles etc all lending itself perfectly for romantic dining. During the daytime it's the perfect stop for a special lunch with friends.

Jamie's Italian (Jamie Oliver)
Located in-between the Lanes and the seafront Jamie Oliver's popular italian restaurant offers good quality food at surprisingly reasonable prices. There are definitely better restaurants in Brighton but if you like the novelty of eating in a celebrity chef's restaurant then it's a good one to try.

The Chilli Pickle: Indian

Pinnocchio: Italian
When leaving this restaurant I've always left with a big smile and feeling very content. The food is great and the prices even better. Pinocchio Restaurant Brighton offers what you'd expect from a busy italian, your usual pastas, pizzas and steaks all served to a good standard. This place really excels in its ambience with conversation, laughter and clinking wine glasses all around you. It's prices are jaw droppingly low, only encouraging you to order that desert or extra glass of vino. Downstairs lends itself perfectly to couples and families with upstairs providing an excellent venue for larger groups.
